Multimedia tools are the software and hardware that produces audio and visual elements such as music, sound effects, narrations, images, and animation. Used together with storytelling, multimedia tools can enhance the emotional glow of your stories.

There are an assortment of multimedia software programs and equipment on the market. Some may not be suitable for digital storytelling. Some may be overkill for what you want to accomplish. Others may be what you're looking for, but only if it could be cheaper and easier to use.
